Are you finding yourself in a rut? You’re doing the same fitness routine over and over again, and going to the gym just isn’t what it used to be. It’s time to switch it up!

Consider these tips to bring some fun into your exercise time:

▪️Add A Friend

Exercising alone can get boring, but a good friend can change how you think about your workout.

Having a partner to workout with, especially one you can talk to and enjoy being around, can keep you interested in your workouts and hold you accountable.

And, there is an added bonus: you can encourage each other, which is going to help you both get into better shape even faster.


▪️Turn You Workouts Into A Reward

Games can make your workout more fun. This will motivate you to keep going and stay active.

Try challenging yourself to incremental goals that you can assess in a shorter period of time like losing one pound a week for a month.


▪️Create a workout playlist

Do you have music playing in the background as you do your cardio? Music has a powerful impact on exercise.

There’s a reason you hear a song on the gym that gets you going that maybe you haven’t heard in awhile.

Listening to music will pump you up; it gives you the extra push you may need to get through. Shuffle your music to keep things interesting.

Create a couple of different playlists and circle through them. Go in with music you’re guaranteed not to spend your workout skipping.


▪️Enjoy the process.

It’s easy to get caught up in our goals and always thinking about how we want to look. You can have more fun by simply enjoying the process, being present, and looking at fitness as an adventure that you might as well enjoy while you’re doing it.


▪️Get Outside or change the scene.

Fresh air does everyone good! Being outside can help you feel more energetic.

Exercising outdoors can make your workout more enjoyable. The world is your playground, so get out there and enjoy it.

Find a nice park with a gorgeous trail. You can do tricep dips with a park bench and walk a couple laps around the perimeter too!


▪️Get creative with your activities.

Sometimes, the thing that makes exercising so boring is the fact that you get into a rut.

Do you do the same exercise routine every day? The same workout can get boring over time. Consider trying new exercises you’ve never done before. Also, think about exercise in different ways.

Spice up your workouts by adding variety!!


▪️Challenge Yourself

Challenge yourself every day. For instance, if you can do 20 sit-ups today, push for 25 tomorrow, and 30 the next day. When you have a challenge to meet, you will be more apt to exercise. Try it!!
